Cooper Green Pooks report that national retailers, Greggs Plc, have leased a shop unit at Shrewsbury Business Park [photo] and having completed their shop fit are now trading.
The shop forms part of the support retail scheme within Shrewsbury Business Park developed by Alaska Property Group in partnership with Shropshire Council. Totalling about 30 acres and already providing workspace for about 1,500 people, Phase 2 of this landmark office development is well underway.
Greggs have taken a unit of about 1,250 sq ft (116 sq m) on a new lease. Five people will be employed at the shop. The shop serves not only the Park but also the nearby established and developing housing areas and passing traffic on Wenlock Road. Within the retail block is a busy Co-op Food convenience outlet and negotiations are in hand with a number of parties interested in the remaining shop. Also available as part of the development is a restaurant/public house site for sale or lease.
