Cooper Green and Pooks Finally Come Under One Roof
Twenty years after acquiring and subsequently running Cooper Green Estate Agency, Pooks have decided to operate residential sales, residential lettings and commercial property under one name, Cooper Green Pooks. All the partners and staff have moved from the Claremont Hill office into the fully refurbished and more prominent Barker Street office.
Tim Pook, managing partner, says ‘’This is something we have wanted to do for years as it allows both sales, lettings and commercial to operate from our larger and far more prominent premises in Barker Street. The time seemed right and having made the changes, the effort has definitely been worthwhile. We have had a very enthusiastic and positive reaction to the refurbished premises, redesigned website and new logo from both existing clients and members of the public.
We have taken the opportunity to completely refurbish the offices, update all our technology, make significant upgrades to our accounting, sales, lettings and management software, introduce a new cutting edge website and update our logo. The addition of the new sales and lettings software will provide an extremely useful tool to help us proactively market our properties and will further improve the speed and quality of our service to all our clients.’’
We will provide the same family run, personal service covering all aspects of Residential and Commercial Property Sales, Lettings and Management in the local area with the same team of experienced partners and 25 staff. ‘’
Asked why the new name was chosen, Tim Pook replied ‘’We toyed with the idea of CGP or a similar variation but Cooper Green and Pooks are two of the best known names in Shropshire. Both have been around for over 125 years and keeping both names in the brand hopefully ensures that the public are aware that both businesses are still very much alive and well. A lot of our business is either returning customers or through recommendation so we want to make sure people know where we are.’’
There have been five recent additions to the staff. Hugo Evans, who has had several years of invaluable experience dealing with property management, has joined the business to work alongside Hugh Carter to help run the expanding property management side of the business. Hugh Carter has now been made a partner having worked for the firm for 15 years. The residential lettings department has been bolstered by the addition Ellie Hill who has had several years experience in dealing with lettings. Liz Morales has joined as a residential lettings negotiator and Ben Martin will be an additional member of staff to help deal with residential repairs and maintenance. The residential sales side has just appointed an additional sales negotiator to cope with the increasing level of business.
To cap off what has been a very exciting few months, the business has just been awarded Gold and Silver for the best Sales and best Lettings Agent in the Midlands. This independently assessed and hotly contested award (entered by over 600 agents) is based on customer and client votes and is an endorsement of the effort and professionalism of the staff and confirmation of the high level of service provided.
